From Software Engineering to SAP, Cloud and Web Development: Building a Versatile IT Career

A versatile IT career is built by understanding how software, infrastructure, business processes, users, and project delivery influence one another.
My professional journey began with a degree in Software Engineering and grew across software coordination, IT administration, project delivery, SAP technical support, cloud servers, WordPress, and mobile application development. At first, these areas may appear separate. In practice, they strengthen one another.
Software engineering created the foundation
Studying software engineering developed my understanding of programming, databases, system analysis, testing, requirements, and structured problem-solving. More importantly, it taught me to break complex problems into smaller parts and evaluate how one change can affect the wider system.
Scrum and project coordination added the human system
Software is created by teams and used by people. Working with schedules, Scrum activities, stakeholders, documentation, and implementation helped me understand that delivery depends on communication and shared expectations as much as code.
IT operations made reliability real
Supporting websites, users, servers, domains, and business systems introduced a different responsibility: keeping services available after implementation. Backups, access control, monitoring, renewals, and incident response are not optional technical details. They are part of the user experience.
SAP support connected technology to business processes
Enterprise systems make the relationship between technology and operations very clear. A technical issue may affect purchasing, finance, inventory, production, or reporting. Effective support therefore requires patient investigation, careful changes, and communication with both users and technical teams.
Web and mobile development keep me building
I continue to work with PHP, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, and Flutter. Development experience helps me investigate application problems and communicate with developers. Operational experience, in turn, helps me build with security, maintainability, and deployment in mind.
The value of a multidisciplinary profile
Specialization is important, but cross-functional understanding helps when a problem crosses boundaries. A website issue may involve code, DNS, SSL, hosting, a database, or permissions. A business-system request may involve requirements, user training, configuration, and project coordination.
My goal is to keep learning while applying this connected perspective to practical business needs. Explore my full resume and project portfolio, or connect with me on LinkedIn.
